Electric energy is one of the driving forces in every country. The supply of electrical energy continues to offer a number of challenges including the high costs which are required to procure the raw materials to generate, areas which are sparse and not connected to the main grid and the infrastructure which is required for the generation and network delivery.
Steve and Brian derived a practical method to evaluate the spatial photovoltaic (PV) potential for a selected urban area based on collection of data from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry, Geographic Information System (GIS) and the generated amount of energy from 3 remote photovoltaics systems installed in different sites.
The scientific results were presented at the MEDPOWER conference 2022
