Beepoll

The team launched the project BEEPOLL, a third generation study to create online tools, which can be used by the national authorities and land managers to identify the location for translocation of honeybees for crop pollination in Malta, get a close estimate of the number of bees and colonies,  and to prioritise measures that lead to improvement in pollinator conservation.

The team will be working on a variety of challenging tasks during the project, including the division of vegetation landscape dynamics into sub-categories using remote sensing methods from Sentinel 2 , Plaedias satellite images and drone aerial data.

Project Beepoll is funded by The Malta Council for Science and Technology, Space Funds
