Watch: Turkish student arrested for using AI to cheat on exam

Turkish authorities have arrested a student for cheating on a university entrance exam using a makeshift device connected to artificial intelligence software. The student, who exhibited suspicious behavior during the weekend exam, was detained by police and subsequently arrested. They have been sent to jail pending trial. Another individual, who assisted the student, was also detained.

A police video from the southwestern province of Isparta demonstrates the cheating method. The student used a camera disguised as a shirt button, linked to AI software through a router hidden in their shoe sole. The video shows a police officer scanning a question, with the AI software generating the correct answer, which is then recited through an earpiece.
