LinkedIn introduces AI to help users find jobs more easily

LinkedIn is rolling out new artificial intelligence (AI) features to improve how people search for jobs on the platform.

Instead of using traditional filters like location, industry, or job title, users can now search using natural language phrases.

This means you could type something like “find me entry-level brand manager roles in fashion” to receive more accurate results.

Another example is searching “jobs for analysts who love solving sustainability challenges” and letting the AI understand your interests.

LinkedIn says the update aims to make job hunting less frustrating, especially as more new roles and careers continue to appear.

Zara Easton from LinkedIn explained the company wants to match people with roles that fit their skills, goals, and passions.

She said AI is not just changing how we work, but how people find their next opportunity in a growing and evolving market.

The news comes as concerns about AI’s impact on employment continue to rise, especially around job losses and system errors.

A recent survey by Acas found over one in four workers fear AI will eventually take over some human jobs.

Almost one in five people also worry about mistakes caused by AI, especially in important decision-making tasks.

Despite these worries, LinkedIn believes AI will guide users toward better job opportunities and help them explore new career paths.

The company says skills are becoming more important than job titles, and its AI tools will help users navigate that change.

This new feature will launch soon, offering job seekers a fresh, personalised way to find their next role.
