Hundreds of TikTok jobs in Ireland at risk amid global redundancies

Hundreds of TikTok employees in Ireland face job losses as the company implements global redundancies. Around 300 roles are reportedly under threat, impacting TikTok’s Dublin-based workforce of nearly 3,000.

The Irish Government has been informed, with the Department of Enterprise confirming receipt of a redundancy notification. “The department received a collective redundancy notification on 4 March 2025,” a spokesperson stated.

TikTok relocated its Dublin offices to The Sorting Office in the Docklands in December 2023. The situation remains uncertain for affected employees.

Ireland has become a vital hub for TikTok’s European and global operations, particularly in content moderation. Staff in Dublin oversee content for EMEA and Latin America, while senior leaders manage user safety, policy-making, and data privacy. TikTok has also invested €420 million in an Irish data centre.
