Apple has unveiled its latest Mac mini, featuring the powerful new M4 and M4 Pro chips, delivering significant performance improvements and designed around Apple’s efficient silicon. Compact at only 5×5 inches, the Mac mini promises up to 1.8 times faster CPU and 2.2 times faster GPU performance over its previous M1 model, packing professional-grade power into an even smaller form factor.
Equipped with the advanced M4 Pro chip, this Mac mini model targets high-demand applications with its 14-core CPU and a 20-core GPU. This model also introduces Thunderbolt 5, enabling faster data transfer and broader connectivity for professional users.
The Mac mini now supports Apple Intelligence, a suite of productivity tools focused on privacy and personalisation. Users can experience advanced capabilities like text rewriting and AI-powered privacy-protected chat integration with ChatGPT, accessible without an account.
Beyond performance, Apple has prioritised sustainability with this release. The new Mac mini is Apple’s first carbon-neutral Mac, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 80 percent compared to previous models. It’s crafted from over 50 percent recycled materials and packaged entirely in fibre, supporting Apple’s commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030.
Starting at $599, the new Mac mini with M4 is available for pre-order and will be released on November 8. For those needing pro-level capabilities, the Mac mini with M4 Pro starts at $1,399, offering powerful performance for intensive tasks, from gaming to creative workflows.
