Apple launches iPhone 16 and 16 Pro with AI features on the horizon

Apple’s iPhone 16 and 16 Pro are now officially on sale, marking another major milestone for the tech giant. A key highlight of the new phones is the upcoming introduction of AI tools, branded as “Apple Intelligence.” These features are expected to revolutionize the iPhone experience, making them a major selling point.

In New York City’s iconic Apple Store, the store’s famous glass cube glowed in the colors of Siri’s new animation, drawing attention to the launch. Despite Apple’s efforts to encourage pre-orders, eager customers lined up at the store to buy the latest models. Among those celebrating the launch was Apple CEO Tim Cook, who visited the New York store alongside other executives.

However, customers won’t get access to Apple Intelligence right away. The AI features are expected to arrive next month, with more updates rolling out into next year. For now, the public beta version of iOS 18.1, the software powering Apple Intelligence, is available for users willing to join Apple’s beta program.

The AI features will not only be available on the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro, but also on the iPhone 15 Pro. They include an enhanced Siri that understands personal context, image editing tools, and text manipulation features.

Alongside these AI advancements, the iPhone 16 lineup offers new camera functionalities, bigger batteries, better processors, and a special side button for easier access.
